The Sjoel has become one of the very few places where I feel completely safe and welcomed with all my queerness. I think the city needs more spaces like this, where you can either eat delicious food weekly or have a cup of tea and a cute hang out. It feels so refreshing and caring to have a space where queer people feel seen and safe outside of the nightlife. It helps built community and that’s really important for our society. It would be a great pain for many people to have this space taken away from us.
